Repeat Prescriptions

blue_pillsIf you take medication on a long-term basis, you can ask for a repeat prescription. These may be obtained by sending the repeat prescription computer counterfoil or a written note to the surgery.

You can also register to order prescriptions on-line via the link at the top of this page. Please bring photo ID and ask the receptionist to register you.

If you enclose a SAE we will post your prescription back to you.

You can request your prescription to be sent straight to a pharmacy.  Many pharmacies also offer an ordering service.  Please speak to your chosen pharmacy to arrange this.

For safety reasons requests cannot be accepted by telephone as this may lead to mistakes (some drugs have similar names and an error may easily occur).

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.

48_hours.jpgPlease allow two full working days for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.
